WWE has made a major announcement regarding CM Punk.

WWE has made a major announcement involving CM Punk.

Punk will not be permitted to appear in the ring at WrestleMania 40, but “The Second City Saint” can still participate in the festivities. Fans of Punk will have the opportunity to see him in Philadelphia this year.

CM Punk, welcome to the WWE World.

WWE confirmed that the former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion would attend WWE World on April 7th at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. It is the same day as WrestleMania’s second night on Sunday.

Fans will be granted access to a CM Punk Meet and Greet with VIP tickets. Punk joins a long list of notable WWE talent such as Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Pat McAfee, and Charlotte Flair who will be attending WWE World.

Punk tore his triceps at the men’s Royal Rumble earlier this year. Punk had a setback after taking Drew McIntyre’s Future Shock DDT. WWE has since played up the injury in storylines, with McIntyre taking credit for Punk’s absence from a major WrestleMania match.

“The Best in the World” is advertised for Monday Night Raw’s final broadcast on April 1st. That show will be broadcast from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
